Asian Mosaic Fund Giving Circle of Greater Philadelphia is hosting a Happy Hour pop-up to raise money for our 2019 grant cycle, and to spotlight a former AMF grantee: Laos In The House (LITH).
Recognizing the journeys shared by refugees from Laos, LITH's mission is to serve as a medium for healing the scars of war and give voice to the vulnerable through intercultural and inter-generational exchanges in many forms, including storytelling, art, and performance.
The happy hour is open to all ages Space is limited so RSVP for your spot with a $0-15 sliding scale/pay-what-you-can tickets. 21+ attendees can enjoy specialty cocktails from Oakheart and Oxley with suggested donation!
ID will be checked at the door for drink tickets.
For a $10 food ticket, attendees will get a chance to learn of Laotian culture through Laos In The House's food tasting session featuring dishes such as:

About Laos in the House:
The Mission: We integrate storytelling with art, seeking to engage community members to share their own personal stories, allowing us to do it in the way we want it to be done, seen and heard. We acknowledge the work of Lao American artists already sharing their own stories while giving voice to those who cannot do so for themselves, in the hopes of healing the scars of war and beginning the process of regular intercultural, intergenerational exchanges.
